The Nomi Difference: No Fake Sugars



Every Nomi bar tells you its primary sweetener right on the front: It’s good ol’ fashioned honey. Eaten since antiquity, honey has been shown to lower LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and inflammation, while not raising blood sugar as much as refined, processed sweeteners.


Do other bars contain nature’s perfect sweetener? The unfortunate answer is “no.” Most bars are filled with refined, processed, or altogether fake sweeteners. Here are the major sweeteners used in several major bar brands:


KIND Bars: glucose syrup

Clif Bars: rice syrup, cane syrup

Quest Bars: erythritol, sucralose, steviol glycosides

PRO Bar: brown rice syrup, dried cane syrup, rice syrup, molasses


To these sugar-filled syrups and lab-made sweeteners we say “no thank you!” At Nomi, we prefer our sweeteners as simple as possible!
